SwizzY x Back-to-Back

History Made: SwizzY Becomes Fortnite’s First Back-to-Back World Champion

Egor "SwizzY" Luchko has made history. At the 2026 FNCS Global Championship, SwizzY lifted the sport’s biggest trophy for the second year in succession, winning in Duos alongside partner Pixie to become the first player ever to win back-to-back FNCS Global Championships.

No one had done it before. Across every edition of the Fortnite Champion Series, no player had successfully defended a Global Championship. SwizzY did it, and he did it across two different formats, winning in Trios in 2025 and in Duos in 2026.

2025: the breakthrough

His 2025 title was the breakthrough: a first Global Championship win in Trios that marked him as one of the most complete competitors Fortnite has produced. It set a standard few expected him to match again so soon.

2026: the defence

A year later, the format changed but the result did not. Partnered with Pixie in Duos, SwizzY navigated the deepest, most demanding field in competitive Fortnite and came out on top once more, turning a single breakthrough into something far rarer.

The achievement was shared. In Pixie, SwizzY found a Duos partner able to rise to the biggest stage in the game, a pairing that delivered precisely when it mattered most.

Why back-to-back matters

Repeat champions are scarce in any discipline. In a game defined by constant meta shifts, new patches, and a worldwide field all chasing the same prize, they are almost unheard of. To win the Global Championship once is the mark of an elite player. To win it twice in a row, in two different team formats, is a benchmark that may stand for years.

The only direction is upward

For Only Upwards, SwizzY’s ascent is the clearest possible expression of what the agency exists to do: represent generational talent and help it reach the very top, and stay there. From his 2025 title, through a headline move to Team Vitality, to a second world championship in 2026, his has been a career built on doing the big things well and the quiet things better.

SwizzY is no longer just a world champion. He is the first back-to-back world champion in Fortnite history. The only direction, as always, is upward.
